What is Pilates

Pilates is a focused form of exercise with an emphasis on patient education and self-management to achieve long lasting health and wellness outcomes.

The exercises are designed to encourage an understanding of the development of correct posture, alignment and movement. We now offer group mat classes featuring modern and traditional Pilates and rehabilitation exercises.

The exercises use your body weight as resistance utilising small apparatus such as therabands, bosu balls, fitballs and magic circles for rehabilitation, strengthening and toning.

Pilates is for everyone.Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. The class will help enable you to become more in tune with your body and prepare you for your weekly tasks.

Our class sizes are limited to a maximum of 5 clients ensuring an intimate and individual exercise prescription and modification, allowing each individual to be challenged while catering for previous history and ability level.  All exercises can be modified depending on an individual’s ability.
