We ask patients to allow 30-minutes for the initial consultation, patients will fill out our detailed health questionnaire, which you will then discuss with one of our Chiropractors. Following this, the Chiropractor will go through a comprehensive clinical examination and any other relevant investigations to determine appropriate treatment.

The 15-minute follow up appointment is usually a couple of days after the initial consultation. During this appointment our chiropractors will give full treatment based off the findings in your consultation, and recommend a schedule for number of treatments needed.

Chiropractic and Children

In general, chiropractic treatment of children is painless, except in cases where the child has an actual injury where some discomfort can be caused by moving the injured parts.

How can I tell if my child has spinal problems? Unless a child has an obvious problem it can be difficult for a parent to recognise when a child’s spine is not working correctly. There are some signs, however, which can indicate spinal problems. These include:

  • Disturbed sleeping patterns

  • Breastfeeding difficulties in the very young

  • Restricted head or neck movement to one side

  • One shoulder higher than the other

One of the most common reasons for parents to seek chiropractic care for their child is trauma from an injury of some sort. The spinal misalignments that may occur at the time of the injury will not necessarily result in immediate pain or symptoms
